Event:

Conversations between Transitional Justice and the Arts

KU Leuven and UNSW Sydney| March 26th, 2024 | Online and In Person

The KU Leuven and UNSW Sydney invite for the Encounters Event: Conversation between Transnational Justice and the Arts. It will be an online and in-person event.
During this very first event, they will have a conversation about the possibilities, limitations, and challenges of using artistic languages to promote social and legal recognition of victims of human rights violations in transitional contexts. They will screen a film about a landmark case in South Africa and will be able to talk with the scriptwriter of two graphic novels developed as symbolic reparation for two communities in Colombia. More than providing answers about the role of arts in this area, they want to ask questions to discuss.
