PhD Scholarship for researchers specialising in German-Russian relations

The German Historical Institute Moscow announces the start of the competition for PhD scholarships among researchers who specialize in German or Russian/Ukrainian/Belarusian history and the History of other Post-Soviet countries. The scholarship covers 1-3 months of research and is to be implemented between 1 September 2021 and 31 December 2021.

Applications are accepted from PhD students who are currently working on a dissertation/PhD thesis related to German-Russian relations and the History of Post-Soviet States. Scholarships are provided to ensure PhD students will be able to access archives and libraries in Moscow or St.-Petersburg, Russia.

Applicants must submit a short abstract of the PhD thesis, justification of the need to stay in Moscow or St.-Petersburg, a reference letter from the scientific advisor, and a copy of the previous education certificate. Applications are accepted only if sent to
