Call for Applications: Research Explainer Workshops

The Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London, in collaboration with The Wiener Holocaust Library under the auspices of the Holocaust and Genocide Research Partnership, are convening four Research Explainer Workshops for heritage professionals, museum workers, journalists, teachers, NGOs and education practitioners.
The intention of the workshops is to build confidence in the current scholarship and debates in Holocaust and Genocide Studies.
Four in-person workshops will be delivered over four Thursdays in May 2025, and each workshop will take place at The Wiener Holocaust Library from 17:30 to 19:00. Attendees can choose which workshop(s) they are most interested in, or attend all four.
The workshops are as follows:
8 May 2025: ‘“Liberation” after 80 Years’ with Professor Dan Stone
15 May 2025: ‘Framing Holocaust Memory and Jewish Identities in 21st-Century Film and Television’ with Professor Barry Langford
22 May 2025: ‘Recent Holocaust Fiction’ with Professor Bob Eaglestone
29 May 2025: ‘After Liberation: Lemkin and the Establishment of the UN Genocide Convention’ with Dr Becky Jinks
Workshop Details and Application Form
Date: 8, 15, 22 and 29 May 2025 Time: 17:30-19:00
Venue: The Wiener Holocaust Library, 29 Russell Square, London, WC1B 5DP
Attendance mode: In-person (there is no provision for online attendance).
